Majority Leader Condemns Police for Alleged Bawku Shooting

The Member of Parliament (MP) for Bawku Central constituency, and Majority Leader of the 9th Parliament, Mahama Ayariga has strongly condemned the actions of the police in the alleged shooting of some youth in Bawku.

Mahama Ayariga took this strong stance in a letter dated 9th April 2025, in which he called on law enforcement agencies to work swiftly to bring calm to the Bawku township and its adjoining communities.

Excerpts of the letter from the Majority leader read, “Initially condemn the actions of the police in shooting some youth in Bawku today. Also, I have never had any discussion with any police and directed them to allow anyone to attend any market or purchase anything from anyone.”
